Guidance for MPs
Working with MPs
In the run up to National Stalking Awareness week 2011 the Helpline and its three parent charities, Network for Surviving Stalking, Protection Against Stalking and Suzy Lamplugh Trust have been working hard to gain support for an Early Day Motion (EDM) supporting a call for the review of the Protection Against Harassment Act 1997. 82 MPs have now signed the EDM which states;
That this House endorses the provisions of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997; believes that a thorough review of the Act is needed; further believes that harassment and stalking are serious offences; and supports the National Stalking Awareness Week to be launced on 11 April 2011.Information for MPs
Protection Against Stalking, Network for Surviving Stalking and Suzy Lamplugh Trust have produced the following guidance for parliamentarians whose constituents seek support and advice regarding stalking;
